Hotline Receives 12,000 Calls In 24 Hours After Diddy Allegations
Diddy faces an escalating number of lawsuits and allegations, with Houston attorney Tony Buzbee now representing 120 alleged victims of sexual assault and abuse. Although these cases have yet to be filed, Buzbee shared this development during a recent press conference. He underscored the seriousness of the situation and the urgency with which they plan to proceed. Buzbee called for anyone with allegations against Diddy to contact the Sexual Assault Hotline. This further emphasized the importance of bringing these issues to light.
“This is an important matter that we intend to aggressively pursue. We will leave no stone unturned to find all potentially liable parties, to include any individual or entity who participated in or benefitted from this egregious behavior,” Buzbee said. He emphasized the bravery of the victims. He urged the public to treat them with the compassion and dignity they deserve. “As we do this important work, we ask that the public understand it is very difficult and takes an incredible amount of courage for victims to come forward,” he continued.
To gather more information, Buzbee encouraged anyone with potential allegations against Diddy to contact the Sexual Assault Hotline. This move, however, sparked mixed reactions, with some media personalities and online critics expressing skepticism.
Despite the backlash, the response to the hotline has been overwhelming. According to Hollywood Unlocked and E! News, Buzbee revealed that within 24 hours of his press conference, the hotline received 12,000 calls. “When I made an announcement that I was going to pursue this case, the floodgates really opened. In a 10-day period, we got 3,200 calls, and then from the press conference we had yesterday, we had 12,000 calls in about 24 hours,” Buzbee stated.
While not all of the calls may be credible, the sheer volume indicates that this case is gaining significant attention. It remains to be seen how it will unfold.
